Know what’s amazing? Life doesn’t stop just because you’ve got shit to do.
So I mentioned that the baby had a cough last week. It worsened. And worsened. And he got beyond cranky. And he had green stuff coming out of every hole in his head. So I BEGGED Bryan, after moving for two days, to PUHLEEZEPLEASEPLEEEEEASE take him to an urgent care clinic on Friday morning. There’s a family clinic right by our new house; just take him there? PLEASE?
Guess what? Most urgent care clinics do not see infants. Two out of three do not, in fact. Bryan ran all over the SE part of town trying to find one that did.
This made me feel horrible, because I totally should be the one to do that, but I just started a new job. My days here are slammed and unpredictable. I sat down at my desk to read email on Friday.. AROUND 3 P.M. It was nutty.
But the house? God, I love our house. LOVE IT. Of course, it’s a wreck and in boxes and OHMYGOD, I cannot unpack fast enough, but I still love it nonetheless. We’ve got furniture on the way, so eventually, we will have a place to store clothes, rather than just spread them out on the floor of our bedroom and pick through them every morning. (I know some people function this way. I am not one.)
OH! Also love? The Wii-freakin-Fit. LOVE IT. All three of us would take an hour away from moving to go in there and play. So much fun! And I was so happy to hear that, while we are both above our healthy BMIs (not a shock, but sad), Bryan and I are both younger in Wii Fit years than our actual age. And I? Am a yoga master. I know. Worship me.
Seriously, the Wii Fit is a do-able exercise program. I easily found the time to go in there for half an hour each day. And yes, you sweat. You exercise. You stretch. You do everything I thought video games fought AGAINST. In short? Awesome. Times infinity.
Had my first Annie rehearsal, which the child accompanied me to. He loved it. Loved hearing the music, the rhthym, the harmonies.. he was just enthralled. I thought it was awesome to take him. (BUT NEVER WANT TO DO IT AGAIN.)
Alright. It’s taken me three hours to write this because I have other junk to do that keeps getting in the way of my durn blogging. Hang in there, folks. I’ll be back. Maybe with pics!
