I am back at work today.
My son slept from 8 p.m. till 3 a.m., at which point he woke up EVERY HALF HOUR, like clockwork. It wasn’t a full wake-up, just all fussy in his dreams and demanding a pacifier and a blanket over the head. I know that sounds like a threat, but really, that’s what he was wanting. Evidence here.
Three days of playing nurse to two sickies and then a night of on-again-off-again sleep leaves a certain redhead USELESS to the world.
Our offer on the house was not accepted. We submitted another, slightly higher offer this morning. But the seller had the house recently appraised for MUCH more than it’s worth (in current condition), so we’re not willing to go any higher than our current bid. We don’t need a house THAT badly.
We sorta do. But we’re not settling.
Bryan is still home today. He ate some jello last night that did not pass Go! and did not collect $200, so we think he may be in a better place today. (I mean that in the literal sense, not in the “he done died” sense.) He’s staying home today to make sure he can wander more than twenty steps from a bathroom. (And you TLS people ought to thank him for that .. cause.. DAYUM.)
I got to work at 6:30 a.m. to catch-up. Do you know who else is at work at 6:30? NO ONE.
Tonight, we are making pizza and I am making a cake that Zoot shared on Google Reader. It just sounds soooo good. And it’s got fruit in it. Fruit is healthy, right? (YES.) The rest of the weekend is up in the air, but I imagine we’ll take a stroll through Bridge Street if the weather cooperates. And if our bowels cooperate.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAROLINE!
