He’s a Little Creepy, You Gotta Admit.

It was my first Halloween to be actively involved on the actual night, so this year was pretty exciting to me. Aside from the fact that I had royally sucked up our decorations this year, my lurve for Halloween was not entirely satiated. So I was ecstatic when The Boy was not fully dressed for trick-or-treating by the time I made it home, and I got to play, too.
And although he looks menacing here, as you can see on my Flickr stream (if you’re registered), he is actually quite a petite little vampire, and some pictures you actually think, “Aww, I’ll bet he’s adorable while syphoning someone’s blood from their veins. Cutie.”
I also got to visit a local church’s Trunk-or-Treat, and I think they were actually one of the originators of the event. It was AWESOME. The Boy had a blast with the tons of inflatables.. so much so that he decided to forego the candy. (PEOPLE DO THAT?!) I’m also now a huge fan of this activity for the 7/8 and younger set; it was completely safe and the kids had so much fun.
After dropping The Boy off in his neighborhood (in which I would LURVE to live at Halloween.. it was like a carnival!), we came back and tried to entice little children to come get candy from us. No one bit. It was all because ole Scott, down the street, had the most awesome haunted house EVER. We will rival him.. next year.
“Isn’t it amazing how having a kid changes your Halloween?” Bryan asked as we watched Jackula tumble through the inflatable maze again.
It is.
