Who loves Halloween enough to pay through the nose for it? ME!!
I thought this was precious, and a great idea. Who doesn’t love love notes?
We have a new bundle of joy in our house. It’s one that we clearly don’t know what to do with. Everything about it seems so daunting, so complicated, so fragile..
No, no baby. Ra and Steve bequeathed a TiVo unto us.
You know, it’s funny. Bryan and I can leap into a new laptop, bound off with a new camera, or happily program the newest iPod. But by God, you mess with our tv, and we begin to quiver.
We’re VERY old fashioned when it comes to the tube. We went a long time without cable at all. (We could get UPN at the time.. which meant I still had court shows. That’s all that mattered.) Now we have the basic bundle.. that means we don’t even have a box. No high-def, no digital music channels, just .. you know.. a more dependable stream of court shows. (And Cartoon Network. What would we DO without Cartoon Network? Oh, Robot Chicken, I adore thee.)
We sat and stared at this box of confusion last night. So many cables. So many buttons. What in the hell does it do? We felt like cavemen who had encountered fire for the first time, and from Bryan’s confused grunting, I think we may be in over our heads.
We’ll I’ll work on it this week, while Bryan’s out of town. If I can make it happen, I’ll know that I can watch episodes of The Hills in peace. And I imagine this will quickly become a necessary item when the 3 a.m. feedings begin.
How many of you out there TiVo? Or DVR? Or whatever the hell you kids are calling it nowadays?
