Well, it’s official.

It never fails that the morning after Book Club finds me holding my head and wincing a whole, whole bunch.  And I’ve always attributed that to the fact that Book Club started as Wine Club. (And, although it was renamed, the motive remains the same.)

But last night, I had not. a. drop. of alcohol.  All night. (Aren’t we proud of me?) And I am STILL dragging ass this morning.  So it’s official: Book Club gives me a laughter hangover.  It’s not that I drink too much; it’s that I LAUGH too much.  I laugh so much that my head pounds the next morning.  Maybe it’s the sudden abundance of oxygen, maybe it’s the rush of intelligence, maybe it’s the amazing snarkiness.. but Book Club leaves me feeling 21 all over again.

(As you can tell, Book Club was FABULOUS last night.)

Actually, yesterday in general was just wonderful.  I had a crazy busy day at work (I’m sure you’re shocked), and then ran home to read with The Boy over some pizza and we even snuck in some Cadoo before I headed over to Book Club.  After I got home, Bryan and I had pillow talk for two hours while we both unwound from the day.  It’s how I love ending my day.

Yesterday was also one of those days where you realize that karma is so extremely powerful.  Everywhere Bryan and I turned yesterday, we were greeted with the knowledge that doing the right thing pays off.  That’s just a little affirmation of good.  Just take the high road, even if it sucks.  Because what goes around, comes around.  Fo sho.

Excuse me while I down a few Tylenol. :)
