• Harry Potter costumes in adult sizes.  Hate to be the killjoy, but guys.. seriously.  SERIOUSLY. 
• Heeleys.   
• “Talent” shows on tv that do nothing to encourage such.  We have quite a few of them on the air now, and only a handful actually encourage and promote talent.  The rest are really, sadly retarded. 
• Gold lame maternity wear. 

3 things people do that make you want to shake them violently.

• People who WILL NOT HANG UP THE DAMN PHONE.  If you are in line, please hang up when you get to the register.  If you are in a security checkpoint, please hang up when the security guard needs to ask you a question.  Nothing.. and I repeat, nothing.. is so important that you can’t call back in two minutes. 
• People who thrive on gossip.  Admittedly, among a very tight group of friends, we all laugh about .. well, pretty much everyone. (This includes ourselves.) But people who start stuff with NO BASIS or reason REALLY irritate me.  Do you really need that kind of stimulus? 
• People who don’t treat servers well.  A particular pet peeve of mine.  For instance, we ate at Beauregard’s last week and a group of seven teenagers came in and were SO rude to the waitress, it was all I could do to remain seated at my table.  Luckily, she handled it herself.  I’ve been known to purposefully spill tea in someone’s lap if they deserved it.. keep in mind, servers have the power to DENY YOU YOUR FOOD. 

2 things you find yourself moaning about.

• Exhaustion.  It’s a constant, never ending thing.  I even took an hour this morning to sleep in, and I could still take a nap.  I keep thinking I’ll get more sleep when the baby comes.. shh, let me dream! 
• Swussy or some other glamorous pregnancy symptom.

Today’s question of the day is SO volatile, I won’t even broach it.  The question was, “Michael Vick has been charged with illegal dogfighting. (Which, honestly, is NOT what he was charged with.  He was charged with several counts of cruelty to animals and housing an illegal establishment.) If he’s convicted, what do you think is an appropriate punishment?”

I’m a fan of slow, tortorous death.  Like, to the pain kind of death.  I think he should have to suffer an hour of excruciating pain for each animal that died at his hands.  And then, because I’m ironic that way, I think they should let falcons peck his eyes.

Then they should give him cookies.  And once he’s eaten the cookies, begin again.  Because I think that’s how hell operates.
