Karma is amazing when you can watch it in action. And this weekend, I learned that karma is letting go of what other people think/say/do and realize that you can only depend on yourself, because you can only trust what you yourself are. Everything else is fleeting; everything else is flimsy.
My godson (and the people who created him) had some portraits made this weekend. Tell me this isn’t the stuff wallet inserts are made of:

Do you SEE how gorgeous it is outside? Do you see that?! And yesterday, as well. But where was I? Yesterday, I was in a theatre all day. Today? The inside of a gray cube world. Being a grown-up SUCKS.
Well, we closed Twinderella. It was not a bad closing weekend. We had great crowds, had a few laughs, and saw more than a few surprising faces. My biggest thrill? Getting a personal invite to go sing at Open Mic Night again. Made my weekend.
The weekend really flew by, with rehearsals for Pinocchio and performances of A Woman Called Truth filling whatever non-Twin time there was. I realized this morning that I have not done laundry in almost a month. We’re down to the emergency panties. It’s time for a break.
Luckily, tonight, I get one! Tonight is time for grocery shopping, time for the gym, and time for Heroes. It’s really sad that I’m so excited about having nothing to do, but alas.. I am really excited about having nothing to do.
It promises to be a quiet week, with all of our execs in an off-site to build leadership. We shall see if the promise holds true.
