Me: So Ra says I should wear this stuff on my face at night, and then she gave me some other stuff to wear on my face during the day, and..
Bryan: We are SOOOO not having sex tonight.
Me: Why?
Bryan: Because your face smells like my grandmother.
I am ALL ABOUT using stuff that old people use. That’s why I only use Abolene cream on my eyes, and that’s why I slathered on Extra Emollient Night Cream last night. And can I tell you.. my face is 95% improved? Sure, it felt nasty as hell and sure, I hesitated to turn over for fear I would stain my pillow, but damn.. it is night and day from yesterday morning.
Know what I love about days with 60 degree highs? Swishy skirts. They are my FAVORITE part of spring. I mean, the warmer weather is nice and it’s sweet to see glimpses of green again, but really.. I’m in it for the skirts. I’m wearing one today. It just makes dressing up easy to throw on a skirt, a sweater, heels, and call it a day.
Last night was so wonderful. It was what I needed after the hellish weekend of children and glitter. Bryan and I met for an early dinner at Tenders. (Sidenote: where the hell has Thai Garden gone? And why was PoBoy Factory closed the day before Mardi Gras?!) Then we went home and I changed to go to the gym and he left for rehearsal.
I, however, did not go to the gym. Instead, I went and washed my car, and then spent an hour in the bookstore. It was PERFECT. I really had forgotten how much I love to read, and now, I hate being without a book. So I got a couple, one of which being next month’s Book Club book. I’m hosting, so I get to choose.. Hooray!
Then, since I was dressed for the gym, I went to Steph’s house to sit and be lazy. We talked about dieting, though, so I felt healtheir. Scout was visiting, so Ra and Steve-o could have their anniversary dinner out, so we sat there and watched children while Elyse showed off her new pointe shoes. I left there around nine and headed home.
I got home and cleaned house till Bryan came home. Then we went to bed.Â
It was everything I could dream a dark day to be.
Tonight, we tackle Pinocchio. I’m really very excited: with a cast that includes the irreplacable Kevin O’Brien, the handsome Bryan Comer, the effervescent Terri King, and moi, there will be some FANTASTIC stories to tell.
