Business In the Front

Because I’m all about education.

He’s Already Got Something Lacy.

I have a headache I have not been able to get rid of for three days now.  And it’s not like a migraine, where I can’t function at all.. it’s more of an annoyance.  It’s the buzzing of a misquito that, for the most part, I can ignore.. but eventually, it will drone on in my ear until I wonder how I haven’t gone insane yet.

I attribute this to my lack of sodas.  I am really not a soda drinker and haven’t been for years.  But during that era of time known as “The Wedding”, I was known to down a few colas.  And not even diet, I might add. (Because I was insane.) Since the new year, I have pretty much cut them out entirely and have stuck to tea and water.  But my head, I do believe, misses soda.  Somethin’ fierce.

I almost gave in and had a coke yesterday, but instead the waitress brought me sweet tea, which was enough to make me levitate.  When you don’t do sugar, sweetened tea might as well be crack.

Right now, I’m craving this fantastic cereal we discovered at Costco: Heart Healthy Apple Crunch.  I know, I know.. sounds like a notch above cardboard, doesn’t it?  We thought so too, but it was Sunday, so there were samples to be had.. and I had to stop Bryan from going back for seconds.  OF A HEALTHY CEREAL.  So we bought the biggest box we could find, and we both eat out of it.  A lot.  Like it was candy.  But instead.. IT’S HEALTHY.  It’s the best trick ever.

I need an idea of what to get Bryan for Valentine’s Day.  Thoughts?

Sorry. I’m Boring.

Yesterday, I didn’t get out of bed until noon.  Yeah, I know.  I am a lazy slug, and you’re TOTALLY jealous.  You have every right to be.  It was FABULOUS.

Of course, then when I finally did get up, I mopped floors, did laundry, vaccuumed, did dishes, and basically made the house sparkle in a matter of hours.

My hubby surprised me by walking in the house not long after I was up, much earlier than I had expected him in.  It was a very happy reunion.  I know it sounds silly that he was only gone four days and I felt like I hadn’t seen him in months, but that’s the longest we’ve been apart in a long time.

Combine that with me finishing the Book Club book, and other weekend events that tugged on my heartstrings, and I was ready to have him home.

I wish I had something more interesting to talk about, but this weekend was kind of mundane.  It was time for me to sit still, listen to the quiet, and enjoy life as it is.  It was time for me to catch up with The Coven, to read, and to organize everything.  In short, although it’s not amusing to report, it was fantastic.

Hope you had an equally fantastic weekend.
