I know that EVERYONE will have an opinion on this one:

Bryan and I are looking to buy a digital camera.  We both used to have our own, then mine died, and I don’t even know where his is anymore.  So we’re going to buy one.  What should we be looking for when we’re shopping?  And if you have one you love, what do you love about? (Likewise if you have one you hate.)

There is something unfair about its use.
It is hitting below the intellect.”

I feel compelled to talk about the impending Wings Awards, but I really don’t have much to say on the topic.  I don’t agree with a large number of the nominations (mine own included), but I can’t find fault with the process that leads to them, either.  So it kind of feels like the Iron Bowl.  What led up to it doesn’t matter; only the outcome matters, and even that only matters momentarily.

I do have a momentary gripe: why do people wear shorts and sweatshirts?  That drives me bonkers.  Last night, the low dipped down into the 30s.  It was well into the 40s at sundown.  Bryan and I ventured out to BWW (if you don’t know, you are SO uncool), and afterwards, we decided to walk down to Target and pick up our honeymoon pics.  We ran into a young adult (female, maybe in high school) THREE times who was out shopping, in the cold, with a sweatshirt and short-shorts on.  And, AMAZINGLY, had a whooping cough.  As Bryan said, “Was it summer when you left your house?”

Poor Bryan is not feeling better, and I’m pretty sure The Boy has the flu.  I hate it when my boys are not well.

I think I have officially reached my theatre burn-out point.  It happens every five years or so, and I take a sabbatical.  This time-off was forced this year, with my wedding and whatnot, but I am loving not being in a show.  Even the Awards tonight feel like an intrusion.  And looking ahead to the slates as they stand for the next season, I’m not seeing much that inspires me to get out and audition.  Which sucks.  I hate that.

Random thought: the truth comes from such unexpected places.  And history always repeats itself.

I could use another honeymoon.
