“And what about those exams?
There’s got to be a better way.
Cold, metal stirrups,
“Scoot down, scoot down.”
And those duck lips.
Cold, unfeeling duck lips.
.. Vagina mother fuckers.”

“Witches can be right.
Giants can be good.
You decide what’s right.
You decide what’s good.
Just remember..
Someone is on your side,
someone else is not.
While we’re seeing our side,
maybe we forgot..”

I’m a bit.. emotional this week.

You probably caught that already.

But today, it’s a good kind of emotional.

I went to the gym yesterday and did strength training for half an hour.  It was brilliant.  And I love the thought of wrapping all the necessary training into half an hour.  I got in, got tired, and got out.

I also did about five hours of wedding work last night.  I’m so ready for this ball to get rolling.. and I think Bryan and I have made excellent process on it.  I’m very excited.

I have a bridal shower on Sunday.  Craziness.

Whenever I’ve worked with children, the worst part (in my opinion) is leaving them.  They always make a much bigger deal of it than it has to be.  What I’ve learned this week is that the same applies to engineers.  I have come in every morning to find some trinket or hand-written note or printed card or something that bemoans my leaving.  I had wanted to transition out of my job and into the new one with as little friction or emotional impact as possible; every day, they tear at my heartstrings.  I wanted to lay low and not tell anyone; now I hear rumblings of a surprise luncheon planned for tomorrow.

“They want you for your dynamic creativity,” I was told today.  “There is nothing else like you on this program.”

I am so proud of Steph.  She has figured out how to control a high school class, and done it successfully.  During our all-too-brief-seems-like-forever friendship, she has always taught me things; I’m excited that she can now do it on a grander scale.  She’ll be awesome.  And she has some amazing teachers to learn from in our Coven.

BodyJam this afternoon.  I am gonna kick ass in a wedding dress.
