Who I’m going to be for Halloween.. and she’s a redhead!!!
Oh, last night was delicious. I needed a couple of hours where there wasn’t planning, there wasn’t organizing, there wasn’t having to pacify eighteen different people.. and there was wine. Conveniently, I got all of that last night. It was fantastic. And Happiest of Birthdays to our Huntsville actress who celebrated a fantastic birthday. I pray to the gods of estrogen that they see fit to make me look like her one day. Tomorrow would be good.
I have this huge project to tackle for work today. I’m putting it off because I almost had a breaking point yesterday. And again this morning. In fact, sitting outside of Carrabbas, in my car, waiting for the others to arrive at dinner last night, a panic attack started. There’s just so much going on and I know I’m gonna drop my basket sooner or later..
.. but last night was not the night. Today will not be the day. Perhaps sometime in September, I’ll drop my basket. But not until then. Come hell or highwater.
So, for any and all involved with throwing any possible showers for me, a piece of advice: Keep It Simple. I don’t need anything fancy. Petit fours and flavored teas are not necessary. What will make me happy is having people I love around and knowing that everyone had an easy time throwing it together. I will even bring my own “Suck It for $1″ t-shirt with life savers sewn on.
On the flip side, I am wearing a new shirt today. That makes me happy.
OHMYGOD, and I finally (well, Bryan did it) got that roll of film developed. How old is that roll, you may ask? It has pics of Ra’s surprise birthday party on there. Pics from Nashville. And tons of pics of our animals and The Boy. I’ll have to put some up later. Or maybe on my xanga, since it has a photoblog on it.
There are days when you just feel blessed. What’s really nice is when those fall on the days where you feel overwhelmed. It keeps things in perspective.
And I learned how to sign “happy” last night. Add that to my other knowledge of ASL (which is pretty scandalous), and I’ve got all I need in life.
