Passive Aggressive much?
Category: The Unexplainable | No Comments »

The last movie we saw? King Kong.  I wasn’t too thrilled about it.. I knew it would leave me in a quivering pile of “WHYGODWHYDIDTHEYKILLTHEMONKEY?!”  But we went.  Had popcorn.  Good times.

The movie before that?  The Brothers Grimm.  I really wasn’t psyched about that, either, but I like Heath Ledger and fantasy crap is okay by  me.  A horse ate a baby.  It was bizarre.  But it was still good times.

Now, The Hills Have Eyes opens today.  I have a soft spot for gory horror films.  I love them.  I have been drooling over the scary, gross, nasty commercials for this since they’ve started running.  I told Bryan that we can stay home and watch “Rent” or go see a movie.  I let him choose.  He said he wanted to go out; we never go out.. he wants to be seen with his favorite girl.  What did I want to see?  I told him.. dur, The Hills Have Eyes.

Then, after an hour or so, I get this in an email.  However, I’d already read five reviews on the movie.  Although none of them were fantastic, they all said it had its moments.  And it was very gory, they all agreed.

Passive aggressive has two results.. you either guilt someone into going your way.. or you piss them off even further into doing what they wanted in the beginning.

What will happen?  Jury’s out.

The Weekend Ahead

::sigh:: Look out your window.  For me.

Because most normal people have windows that remind them that today is GORGEOUS.  Most people have access to daylight, which has to make them itch to get outside and go roll in the grass.  Most people know how beautiful it is out there.

I have no windows.  I can only imagine.  AND IT’S GORGEOUS.

I wore my “spring skirt” today.  People went nuts.  “Oh, you’re so dressed up” and “Oh, you look so nice today.”  Spring/summer is so much easier to do.  Throw on a skirt, a t-shirt, some kitten heels.. and wow, you look AMAZING!  Took me three minutes to put on.  Put on some sparkly jewelry, and you’re evening-ready too.

We’re in lace-trimmed cami season!  Steph is laughing at me, since cold weather cancels out 75% of my wardrobe. :)

And for the record, CoreSecrets LOOKS a lot easier than it is.  I was in the habit of doing crunches every morning, and had built up to 75 a morning, but I’ve NEVER hurt as badly EVERYWHERE as I do today.  But it’s gotta be a good thing.

Last night was fun.  Since classes for The Anvil Tree were canceled, I was free to attend Elyse’s “The Joy of Being a Woman” dinner at Bonefish.  It was FANTASTIC.  And good Lord, the child is growing like a weed.  Other than being completely gorgeous, she’s picking up her mother’s mannerisms of ettiquette and conversation.  It was amusing to watch.  Thanks, Steph, for inviting me.. I think it was just as refreshing for us “old women” as it was inspiring for our “new woman”.

“The Office” was waiting for me when I returned, and it was one of my favorite episodes.. “Diversity Day”.  It just hit the funnybone and the heart so many times during the show.  GREAT TV.. if you haven’t started watching yet, make time.. NBC, Thursdays, 8:30 p.m.

Then we went to bed.  Or so we tried.  Friday, Bryan’s oldest cat, has had a slight.. tummy issue the last few weeks.  He had thrown up several times in the bed.  At first, we thought it was just on the comforter.. but each layer we pulled away showed us a potent, powerful bile that we hadn’t anticipated making its way down to the mattress.  People say that cats are the cleanest pets.. but I don’t buy it.  It was nasty.  That took some cleaning.

THEN we went to bed.  And it’s gorgeous today.  Or so I’ve heard.
