Surprise!

Today was surprisingly nice.

I yelled at my insurance agent today.  I’m about done with AllState.  Their customer service is subpar, and they were unwilling to work with me.  All I was asking was for them to delay the pull-date on my EFT this month for TWO DAYS.. and instead, they moved it
up three days.  I was livid.  So I’m totally shopping around.  But he was a good sounding board for my obvious frustration.

Then my mother heard how incredibly tense I was (over the phone.. which doesn’t bode well for how well I’m dealing with frustration), so she took me to lunch.  I also took a l-o-o-o-n-g walk outside after lunch, enjoying the LOVERLY weather today.  It was nice.

I got back and had an email from Jason Robert Brown.  Sure, it was just his mass emailing, letting me know upcoming performances.. but I took a shot in the dark and sent back an email.  He responded within seconds.  And we emailed.

I EMAILED WITH JASON ROBERT BROWN.  WORSHIP ME.

And then we wrapped up the last bit of the t-shirt order for VDay.. I can’t wait to get them in! 

Jamie gave me warm fuzzies today.

So it wasn’t a bad day.  It was a good warm up for the weekend.

Anyone need a dog?

Things that have been made obvious in the last 24 hours:

  • Bearing a child doesn’t make you a mother.

  • Being a step-mother doesn’t make hard choices hurt any less.

  • I’m not totally over my stomach flu.

  • Sometimes, when biting your tongue, it helps to rub the coven medallion around your neck.

  • Being a team means sometimes standing strong when your teammate can’t.

  • "Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds."

  • No matter how big it feels sometimes, Huntsville is a small town, and word travels.

  • I am blessed.  Hard times make that all the more obvious.
