So I’m curious.
How do children do that? How do they spring out of bed, fully loaded and on full-throttle, when the sun first peaks in their window? How do they wake up, already set to 90 mph, and bounce around the room? Did I do that? And if so.. mom, daddy: I am so, SO sorry.
How do children not need coffee? Do their bodies recycle during sleep a bit more efficiently than ours do? All I know is that when the sun comes up, I immediately think: “Man, I’m tired. Wonder how much longer I can sleep..”
While, apparently, The Boy thinks, “CARTOONSANDJUICEANDCRAZINESSANDWATCHMEDANCEWATCHMESARAHWATCHME!”
One of those new things, I guess.
I finished most of my shopping last night. And, I should also point out.. I STARTED my shopping last night. It’s good to have a plan, people. I walked in, knew exactly what I was looking for, put it in my cart, and went on my merry way. Ran into some old friends, miss Kendra included, and then hurried home to sit in front of the fire place.
Now I just have to wrap.
Today should be nice. Fun. Laid back. Lunch with the girls, then some last minute shopping, then dinner with the fam tonight to celebrate my parents’ anniversary. I’m so ready to start feeling a bit more chipper.
