Reflection for Sleepy Sarah

I’m tired of having to think about this show.

The closing weekend is supposed to be fun, when everything falls into a groove, and everyone can just relax and have a good time, and enjoy eachother.  However, our show is cursed, and we lose a cast member (sometimes two) every night.  Sometimes it’s our hair people.. sometimes the heater’s not working.. but it’s something, every night.

I will say, though, that we’ve had the joys of NOT setting anyone on fire, so yay for us.

One more show.  Just one.  And admittedly, everyone who’s been has been VERY sweet about it.  To be completely cocky and honest, it’s nice to hear that I’m the high point of a show.  Especially when it’s from people who wouldn’t say such things to my face.  But everyone is having a good time.. I suppose.

Steph is my hero.  She stepped into a lead role and made it her own, and improved the show 100%.  She’s been nothing but gracious and patient and loving and God bless her, everyone.

One more show.  Just one.

Kaitlin also was FANTASTIC.  God, she makes me feel old.  She was just a wee babe the last time I saw her, and now she’s this incredibly graceful, gorgeous woman.  And as sweet as the last time.  I’m sad we only have her for two shows.

Wait, one.  One more show.  Just one.

I’m SO EXCITED at the prospect of only having something to do two nights next week.  And a weekend free.  I feel like I haven’t been in my own house in weeks, even though we’ve been there constantly.

It sounds stupid, but there’s just something about living together.. yeah, we bicker.  Yeah, we get in eachother’s way.  Yeah, we have to take time outs.  But all in all, there is just something about the way we work together.. and it’s so much more obvious (and appreciated) now that we are together, in the same house.  Excuse the syrup, but I’m pretty sure I’m even more crazy about him now than I was before.

Jon’s smile really made me miss that 5th narrative.

Here’s the thing.. I wouldn’t dare say that this show is the best show in the history of Renaissance; it’s clearly not.  And I wouldn’t say this was the best cast ever assembled; it’s not that, either.  Nor would I say that this is the closest I’ve been to a cast; not true at all.  But I will say this, and say it with complete faith and sincerity.. this cast has worked harder than any other cast I’ve been apart of.  I’ve never been in a show with so many snafus to come our way, and yet we all smile, put our chins up, and keep marching.  And the bows are just that much sweeter because of it.

One more show.  Just one.  And, honestly.. a little sad about it.
