It’s been far too long, hasn’t it? I actually dreamt about this site last night, how neglected it was. Actually, I dreamed that I got hired to write for syndication. It was very cool.
Big week coming up. For those of you ladies interested, we’re having auditions for the Vagina Monolgues this week. I’ll get more details up soon regarding that. Then Bryan leaves for state competition, I start shows up again, and when he gets back in, WE MOVE IN TOGETHER. I WILL BE LIVING WITH A BOY.
Wow.
It was a very productive weekend. Aside from the obvious theatrical obligations, we actually had a very good “family” weekend. I spent tons of time with my betrothed and his child, which.. in all honesty.. gets better and better every time it happens. I’m still trying to shake the idea that he forgets me everytime I’m not around him for any length of time. I think it comes from being around another child since his birth.. and during those formative years, he WOULD forget. But not The Boy. He actually goes out of his way to find me in a crowd. Makes my heart swell every time. We hung Christmas lights on OUR house this weekend, put up some decorations.. three stockings, in a row.
It’s strange. I never thought this would be my life. And everytime I stop and take a breath and look around, I feel so incredibly blessed to have stumbled into it.
Anyway, today’s celebration comes from the fact that my hair is not teased three feet tall. My poor hair. What a weekend it’s been for my hair. And it never fails.. when my hair is teased up like Flo the Crackhead waitress, there is some INEVITABLE emergency that makes me wander out into the real world. I get such interesting reactions. I tore some youngins a new one in WalMart the other night.. it was dress rehearsal, the Boy had a raging fever at home, and I needed to get him some medicine. Some young kids thought that it would be fun to tease the strange-haired whore..
The show opened. Hopefully, it will also close. I have very few good things to say about it, other than I have fun. I’m not sure anyone else is enjoying themselves on stage, but I am. And I LOOOOOVE the kids. We have a blast backstage.
I really don’t have very much to say. It was a hectic, busy weekend, but nothing worth really delving into here. I’m really ready for next week, when we can stop asking eachother, “Where should we stay tonight?” because we only have one answer: “I’ll see you at home.”
