Blah Blah Blah

God, it’s three already.

It really has been nuts around here.  Miss Anne is out today, which means I’m juggling both of our jobs.  That’s fun.  But the day has flown by, no question.  One down, four more to go.

We’re having Chili Mac for dinner.  I’m kinda sad I told you that, because now I have one less thing to write about tomorrow.

That’s how truly exciting my life is.

We went to the mountain yesterday with the dogs, because Sarah wanted to.  Bryan said, "Okay, where do you wanna go?"  I said, DUR, to the trails.  And he didn’t know, so I pointed.  And, of course, in my ULTIMATE wisdom, I found the "EXPERIENCED (as in, no Sarahs allowed)" trail.  Try and manuever that.  With dogs.  We only got halfway through it when I admitted defeat.  I wish trails had a car that ran them, so when you admit defeat and you’re tired and sore and your dog is panting way too hard because SHE hadn’t planned to be traversing such rough terrain EITHER, a car would just come and pick you up.  As it turns out, it doesn’t work that way.  You gotta go back the way you came.  Sucks.

But the dogs were worn out, so they slept wonderfully.  Not a lot of barking.  They played a rousing game of "Let’s convince the humans that someone is stealing their cars" on Friday night, so last night was a breath of fresh air.  Those crazy dogs.

I’m attaching a picture of me staring down Charlie.

I think (and I know I say this every few months) that I’m going to grow my hair out.  Which means nothing to you, other than you now have hair updates to look forward to, and I know how well those go over.

So I had this lovely ensemble for Wings picked out, but I bought it last winter, and now it just hangs on me.  This is good news and bad news.  Maybe I can go through the Delle hand-me-downs and see if there’s anything in there.

How much do you think I could get for my eggs?  Like, harvesting my eggs?  I’ve got tons of eggs.  I think someone should use them.

Looking forward to "Jungle Book" on Thursday night.  I do so love the idea of Chris Clark as Sher Kahn.  Very nice.  Maybe Bryan will bring the Boy and it will a nice little family outing.

We played Putt-Putt on Saturday night at Funtasia.  That was, actually, a lot of fun.  I got a hole in one on my first try! (Then Bryan decided he wanted to play the OTHER course, where he got three hole-in-ones and Sarah got none.) That was fairly uneventful and I’m sorry I wasted the two minutes of your life it took to read it.

Ready to head home.  Things are calm and nice and clean and quiet at home. :)

Only in Alabama..

Bryan took me to lunch for "football-type food" during the halftime of Alabama’s game on Saturday.  We were sitting, waiting for our food when we overheard:

Little girl:  Daddy, daddy.. I think I see a monster!

Daddy: Where, baby?

(pointing)

Daddy: No, baby, that’s not a monster, that’s a razorback.

(pause)

Daddy: They haven’t been very monstrous OR scary this year.

Football season has ALWAYS been a fantastic time of year for me.  My Daddy and I used to watch the games together, every week, making large spreads of food that no one else liked.. oysters, sardines (with pork n’ beans), wings with bleu cheese.. and we’d watch a little of the game.  Mostly, we gathered for the food.  Delle taught me most of what I know about football, as we would spend entire days camped out in front of the SEC.  We’d make food runs, but we were there for the football.

Now, Bryan and I have a good mix of the two.  We only have certain teams that we watch, and we never go hungry during the game.  Most of the time, we hit Beauregard’s on a football Saturday (the Airport location knows us by name), but sometimes we shake it up.  It’s just nice.

Football is not just a sport in the south.  It’s honestly a quality of life thing.

Oh, and there is one aspect of the game that Bryan brings to the table.. we have some awesome naps during the not-so-important games on Saturday.  This Saturday had the best nap EVER, with the windows to the house open, a nice cool breeze blowing, and the drone of the Tennessee game in the background.  We crashed.

Our son’s middle name will be "Bear", in case you were wondering. :)

Very little to say.

It does happen, from time to time, that I have absolutely nothing to say.

Today feels like that.

Work has been swamped since before I walked in.

The weekend was busy and uneventful at the same time.

Had A LOVELY night Friday night.  Congrats to Alison, Chris, Emily, and Bryan.. who were some of the winners.  Y’all all deserved a paperweight.  And a personal thanks to Stephanie, for being naughty with me.  It was totally worth it.

Money sucks.  Truly.  Sarah is interviewing tomorrow for a second job.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Other than that.. nothing new.  Just kinda.. floating.
