OHMYGAH, I’m, like, totally bored.  Dude.  And obviously feeling my age, because I’m trying to sound young.  I learned last night that this is the fastest way to sound old.. because what you remember as "young" is now ancient to today’s youth.

Yesterday, in order to put some blech aside, I worked my ass off. (Again, let me point out that this is a figure of speech.  Sadly.) I finished five expense reports (count them!  FIVE!), made several travel arrangements (two for out-of-country, which are a bear in themselves), and I got them all done.  Along with all of my other daily chores.  So today, I sit here.. and when I get bored on the internet, it is NEVER a good thing.

I shop.  Online.

Now, thus far, I’ve been really good and only gone to eBay.  eBay is a sort of self-soothing technique.. I don’t even have to BID on stuff.. I can just "watch" something, and the click of the mouse still
feels
like a purchase.  So it’s almost as good.  It’s similar to Coca-Cola Zero.

There’s a lot of unrest among management lately.  I hate that.

I’ve decided that I’m going to develop a comic strip.  The Great John Robinson inspired me.  Now I just have to learn to draw.  But that’s easy enough, right?  Hell, K has a friggin degree in it.. can’t be that hard!  Anyway, I’m going to call it "Pillow Talk".  It will make me rich.

I also think I’m going to figure out how to clone organs.  This will also help me financially.  Delle actually inspired me.  Ooh, funny story, and a quick way to kill time before I should REALLY find something to do:

One day, on my way home from Calhoun, I passed a giant billboard from a man looking for a liver donations.  The board had a huge pic of him there with his young daughter, and my heart just cried to him.  So I was determined.

I marched into the Bitter House to find Delle planning some teaching thingie or other.  "I’m going to donate one of my livers," I said.  She couldn’t sway me, but she was obviously confused.  I explained about the board I saw, and how I was ready to change a life, and repeated, "So don’t try and stop me, cause I’m going to give that man one of my livers."

She never even cracked.  She nodded, saying, "Okay, but Sarah.. this is a very serious decision.  I want you to go online and research all that you have to go through.  Just go to google, type in something like "liver donation", and then we’ll take it from there."

I thought that was an appropriate request, so I obliged her.

Kidneys, two.  Liver.. one.

And it’s not like I knew the guy..

“You don’t need to worry about that thing anymore,” she said.  This woman, who I’ve known since I was 10 years old and has beat me upside the head and loved me harder than most, stood before me with her wise ways and crooked index finger and tried to make me see the light.  We were sitting in the back of one my new “safe” places (although it’s been an old safe place for as long as I can remember), Lee Theatre.  There, I’m not “Sarah Brown”, I’m either Sarah or Comer’s Girlfriend.

She smiled at me, and I marveled at the inevitability of change and how it really all stays the same.  “It just doesn’t matter, Sarah.  You KNOW that.  Bridges have been burned.  It’s okay.”

I shook my head.  “I didn’t mean to burn any bridges,” I said.

She giggled.  “They weren’t yours.”

I got to be useful last night, which helped immensely.  And I am beginning to see what Bryan sees in the kids.. there are real people there, they just need some humanity brought to them. :) It’s actually a decent show.  I’m incredibly proud of what he’s done with it, how hard the kids have worked, and how they’ve overcome multiple obstacles to get there.

In other news, Ryan was finally booted from SYTYCD.  Melody is still there.  I missed the show, but I can only imagine how pissed off Destini must’ve been.
