So, let it be said and written in stone: I LOVE my part in Pinocchio.

I have loved parts in the past, and by the end of the run, I am always ready to close the show.  There is always stupid drama, there is always lousy morale, and there is always exhaustion.  But this part?  I LOVE this part.

It’s something I have to be conscious for; i.e., I can’t just phone this one in.  It’s something I have to be active in, and be astute as to EVERYTHING happening around me.  And I get to work alongside some of my favoritest people ever.  This is just as awesome as it gets.

And I may suck at it.  I would hate to gush over how fabulous I am, and then y’all go see the show and be like, “Yeah.. you were.. well, your hair looked nice,” or something like that.  Because I very well may suck.  But I am having a FABULOUS time.  And that’s why I do theatre.

I’m not in it for the glory (as well referenced by some on-stage choices I’ve made in the past two years).  I’m not the girl who counts lines. (Wink.) I’m not in it to see my name in a program.  I’m totally in it because it’s fun to me.  Good times.

Our show opens April 20, and runs that weekend and the next.  I’m not sure we’ll have the media blitz we had for Twinderella, but even if we don’t, I highly recommend bringing the kiddies to come see this one.

Cause we’re having a blast.  And you don’t see that often.

Hey, I have met you once at Ronda’s pampered chef party. I was just stopping by your site, (its great btw) and I am going to try to remember this date, because I do think my daughter and I would both love to see this play.
Glad you are excited about the part you will be playing, and I have enjoyed reading some of your posts, hope you do not mind the invasion! :)

NO!!! I am an actress: I CRAVE ATTENTION!! Please invade! :)

I think it’s a great family show, and I do encourage everyone to make a point of seeing it. For the grown ups, “Crossing Delancey” is opening this weekend with Theatre Huntsville, and it’s pretty cute.

I’ll be sure and keep everyone abreast of dates for Pinocchio as they get closer.
