As I do every night, I sit on my laptop, trying to wrap up another hour or two of work. I try not to talk about work on here, since I live it anywhere from 9 to 11 hours a day, but it’s very slowly taking over my life. I’m now looking at future committments and basing them around work events, which I’ve never had to do.
I’m pretty tired.
In other news, I made a killer dinner tonight: grilled shrimp skewers in a sweet and spicy picante sauce, sauteed summer squash, butter rice, and buttermilk biscuits. (You’re right; the biscuits didn’t fit. But I’m PMSing and wanted friggin biscuits.)
Then I engulfed half a bag of M&Ms and cried at Wife Swap. Again: PMS. The bain of my existence every third week. No cramps (yet), but I also had some Pringles earlier. And when I say “some”, I mean “an entire can”. In one sitting. Which, as the math in my head worked out, was about 700 calories. Considering I hadn’t eaten anything all day, I wrote them off.
Believe it or not, I’m excited about rehearsal tomorrow night. I’m having fun with this show; very little thinking is required, which means there’s more brain power left for playing around.Â
I’m trying to turn my brain off, in case you’re wondering. I’m typing to turn my brain off. It’s not really working. I think a couple of Midol and snuggling will help.
Sweet dreams.
