Saturday mornings sure suck when you’re a grown up.

Where before, when I was young and carefree, I could sleep until noon and not think twice about it, now there are responsibilities.  Like, if I sleep past 7:30, things in the house will go hungry.  And in retalliation, will most likely relieve themselves.  In many different places.

So sleeping in for me has changed.  It means I don’t have to feed the dogs until 7:30, an hour and a half later than the weekdays.

Great.  That’s all sorts of sleeping in, isn’t it?

In other news, we watched Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby last night.  If you thought that movie was hysterical, and you’re a friend of mine, you best not tell me.  I thought it was HORRIBLE.  Like, worse than Anchorman.  Here’s the thing that people get lost in nowadays: just because a movie is quotable does NOT make it funny.  Or good.  Or even watchable.  I think Napoleon Dynamite falls into this category too.  It just picks up so much momentum that people are afraid to NOT like it.  Well, you heard it here, folks.. I think all of those movies are a waste of my life.

The good side to me being up this early is that I’ll get some gym time in before rehearsal.  And maybe, you know, learn my lines. (I was off-book last rehearsal, but that was also a month ago.) My gym has been uber crowded lately (Januarys always are; everyone gets healthy for a month), so time where I don’t have to hover around Grandma on the benchpress is time well-spent.

I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.. we’re off to see “The Producers” this afternoon, and who knows what tonight.
