Another day ending in "why"
Category: The Unexplainable |

This was waiting for me when I got to work this morning.  There is a man who loves me, saw a butterfly, and it made him think of me naked, as I have several butterflies strategically placed on my body.  So he took this and emailed it to me.  I thought that was nice, so I’m sharing.

Well.. the weekend.  Friday night was spectacular.  Amazing.  It was what we called “a good Huntsville night.”  We went to Beauregard’s for an amazing meal (there is no comfort food above wings to me), then jaunted over to 18 to catch “The Brothers Grimm.”  Now, I will be the first to admit that I figured it would be an okay movie.  But I was NOT PREPARED.

I should warn whomever wants to see this flick: it’s not a childrens’ movie.  I mean, the rating would be the obvious tell-tale sign, but I ignored that.. anything can garner a PG-13 rating nowadays.  And while the plot line is pretty cool, and Heath Ledger OUTDID himself in his role, everyone should be warned that there is VERY graphic violence in this movie.  And most of it happens to animals and children.

Had someone warned us, we might’ve thought twice.  Our quote of the night: “That horse ATE that baby.  Did you see that horse eat that baby?”

Anyway, after we recovered, we jaunted over to ColdStone, where the lovely Erica dished us up some milkshakes.  We would only let her take our orders if she did it in the Frenchie voice.  She was my most FAVORITE part of Grease, so it made me happy.  Okay, the Johnny Casino guy.. yum.  He’s a close second.  So we sat out on a bench and watched Huntsville shut down (which was sad because it was only ten o’clock.. and on a Friday night), and then went home to bed.  It was a very relaxing, indulgent evening.

Of course, the rest of the weekend sucked.

Bryan had an all day rehearsal on Saturday, and as he put it, “the kids are starting to realize that they’ve been bent over backwards and screwed.”  So he was sapped when he got home, and his sickness was ten times worse.  So he slept on the couch while I made dinner and then we hit the sack around ten.

Sunday, all the shit hit the fan.  My mother called me around nine a.m. to let me know that my sister had been hospitalized (for those who don’t know, my baby sister is out in L.A… all by herself.. it’s KILLING me..) for an infection that they can’t seem to locate.  Also, my MaMa was put in the E.R. and then the O.R., where they decided to do a heart catheterization anyway, although they had earlier thought it best to wait.  So yesterday consisted of a lot of nail biting, crying, and basically trying to just make it through the day.

And there’s no new news.  Jenni’s still in the hospital (again.. KILLING the older sister).. MaMa is still in the hospital.. and I’m left wondering why God seems to be trying the Campagne women this year.  So keep all of them in your thoughts, please.  I feel like I’m asking for prayer a lot lately, and I hate that.  I’ve always thought that prayer could be so selfish.. I hate it when people pray for self-serving things.. but I don’t know that my prayer alone can make a dent.
