what a GORGEOUS morning.
truly. a gift.
of course, charlie made his own gift by devouring my alicia atkins pair of target moccassins. i’ve chosen to bestow upon him the gift of life by not killing him.
bryan is spending the morning with his gift, at a soccer game.
i am enjoying one of huntsville’s gifts.. a gorgeous park around a spring, and filled with mutant deese. (ducks/geese)
we had a perfect friday night. we went and saw the opening night of the robin hood caper at renaissance.. HUGE thanks to john for our tickets. that was loverly. it was a PRECIOUS performance. anyone who can manage a free evening this weekend or next should stop by. chris clark pulled off his role flawlessly.. and i’ll admit that i wondered if he could play what we asked him to. i was mucho proud of him. he’s such a cutie. and there was NOTHING like catching up with him afterwards. nina’s “bump” is SOOOOOO cute!!
the best part, though, was after the show.. having the entire cast rush you to say how much you were missed, how well they wished you, filling you in on the gossip you’d missed, etc. i felt like the belle of the ball.
afterwards, bryan took me home and.. we.. we went to decatur. a few times.
it was lovely. a splendid, quiet night.
we lay there, talking last night, and he asked me how i was doing. i told him about my new era of forgiveness, and he laughed. we have a long history with john tesh.. cause we’re dorks. he asked how forgiveness was going, and i said it was going well. he said, “you know, i think we’re a better ‘us’ for it,” and he’s right. there’s waaaay too much good in my life to focus on the bad.
so thanks for all of the support in the last week. all of the emails and phone calls and hugs were definitely needed. i am so lucky to know love in the way that i do, and to be constantly surrounded by it.
on another note, baby ducks tear me up morally. they’re cute, you know, cause they’re babies, but part of me wants to just stomp on them NOW, before they grow up to be the big mutant ducks that chase me into parking garages.
