Been one of those "hurry up and wait" days. Love those. Nothing like getting your pulse up to a speeding frenzy, then sitting around and letting it pound in your ears as you do nothing. Killer.
I’ve missed Delle something fierce as of late. We talked for almost two hours on Friday night, and that was fun. It’s nice to have somoene who feels like they’re just down the street, even though they’re a plane ride away. She cracks me up. Can’t wait to get up there and party like the Bitter Twins we are.
Funny quote of the day: "Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that. I know how you look so forward to mediocre children’s theatre every winter. I hope you’ll survive without your yearly fix of crap covered in glitter." - from a jaded CC expatriate
So my own little tickle comes from a weekly report that I have to send out every Friday. The lady before me would just forward it to everyone in our group (a little over 250 people), but I always stick a one-liner in there. The responses keep me giggling all week.
So I laughed at E (who I am missing terribly) because of her changing the sheets every week fixation. OHMYDEARLORD, last night was so wonderful.. in clean sheets! Of course, I don’t have a washer/dryer available to me, so it’s not as frequent as once a week, but I should definitely try to change them more often than I (obviously) had been. Cause man.. I slept like a log. So nice.
Of course, the fact that they’re 600 t/c doesn’t hurt, either. It’s the little luxuries.
I’d just like to point out that I used to serve as an administrative focal for a specialized review team. We were trying to fix our rocket, to make a long story short. I’ve not been associated with the team for several months now.. close to four, I’ll bet. And I walked by a telecon of that meeting and heard them discussing the EXACT same issues that they discussed when I was there. Amazing.
Gonna go crunch some almonds now..
