Argh.
Craziness today. Spreadsheets, formatting, etc. You name it; if it’s in a Microsoft Office program, I’ve had to fix it today. I’ve said for years that I’m going to become Microsoft Office certified; today is why I need to.
Also some really depressing news: the Ark won’t take Charlie. Now we’re really without options.
Thanks to everyone for their kind wishes today. I needed them. Things will get better.. it’s just an adjustment.
Or, as I like to say, "It’s not a problem, it’s a challenge. It’s just a challenge." (or Jason Robert Brown likes to say it..)
Sooooo.. little rant for the day (because, technically, the xanga rant was written yesterday): the WZYP Bridal Fair was this weekend. It was CRAP. This is the second bridal showing my mother and I have attended in the last month. The other one? Completely free. This one? Brides are free, guests are $5 a pop. The other one? TONS of door prizes, all given out by the vendors. This one? Had to fill out a task-completion card before you could enter the one door prize drawing. The other one? Close to 100 vendors, of every budget range, location area, etc you could imagine. This one? Maybe 50. MAYBE. Add to that screeching microphones, a pretty crappy fashion show, lousy food, and a badly drawn floorplan that left little to no "flow", and you’ve got a big, ole, piss-Sarah-off-when-she-came-to-get-cake mess. My mother and I were so annoyed that we only stayed 45 minutes. It was CRAP. Thank God I’ve only got to do these things once.
Yay for Ra’s new house! We got the grand tour last night and even helped a little bit. I like the house a lot. I can’t wait to see the Aardvark touch take over in there. The baby will be very happy there, I’ve no doubt.
I need some thai food. It will calm me down. But when, oh when, can I get thai food? (Huh, K? When?!)
So I think I dislocated my shoulder this weekend. You may be thinking, "But Sarah, you’d notice that!" Oh contraire, my naive little friend. It’s entirely possible that I popped it out and back in, all in one fell swoop, and never even took pause. But yesterday, I thought I was going to die, because I was in so much pain. I pulled out a sample gathered at the Bridal Fair from Naughty and Spice… a green apple, self-warming massage oil.
Bryan (graciously) gave me a back rub, concentrating on my shoulder.
Now, you may or may not remember my fateful experience with the KY Warming Liquid. It was NOT happy. So the rules were pretty clear.. no warming liquid near my nu-nu. He was very careful about it, and I relaxed quickly.
However, now my back is hurting and there’s welts. Yay for me.
When I start my SlumberParties, you will find high quality products that I will test beforehand, so none of this shit will happen to you. But it will be fun!! Stay tuned!!
In the meantime, Sarah has to get through the week.
