My Gift to You

There are two little secrets that I think you should know if you like having soft hair and great eyes.

Argan oil is your friend.  I got a sample of argan oil in .. hell if I remember, but I ended up buying a full size bottle of the Josie Maran stuff not long thereafter.  People say it’s magic and use it as facial moisturizer and whatnot, but I specifically put it on the ends of my hair when it’s damp/drying and it’s magical.  Gives your hair a nice sheen, keeps it from frizzing – even this Alabama humidity – and is pretty amazing.  Now, it’s powerful, so don’t apply root-to-tip unless you like the greasy look, and even on your ends, you only need a little bit. (I have a dropper in mine, and two or three drops is all I use.)  Some people will swear by Moroccan Oil, and that’s great.  Mostly because the main/secret ingredient in Moroccan Oil?  IS ARGAN OIL.

Curl your lashes with a warmed curler.  I read this in a magazine some bazillion years ago and I knew it to be the case after a mirror-mate in a community show let me borrow her heated eyelash curler one night. (Thanks, Dani!) I’ve always curled my eyelashes, but MAN, it makes a world of difference if the curler is warm.  So since I don’t own one of those amazing heated things, I just literally shoot a hairdryer on the plain ole metal Revlon curler I’ve had since Jesus was a baby.  10 seconds on high, and the metal is nice and warm.  Your curl will last all day (serious!) and make your eyes 10x bigger.  (Obviously I know you’re smarter than this, but please don’t apply anything scorching hot to your eyelids.)

Here's where I am!
