Update on the Lucky Foot

So, I know I have a new influx of readers, and it occurred to me this weekend that I was due for an update on The Lucky Foot. (Also: this post still makes me cry.)

Our update?  Pretty slim.

My child runs and tumbles and hops and jumps and basically wears my ass out like any other 2.5 year old.  He wore a brace until about November, when we realized he had outgrown it and he’s got an appointment in April anyway.  We just decided to buy him some cute high-top boots and let him go.  And?

He’s fine.

Now, obviously, there are some SLIGHT differences.  His Lucky Foot leg is a good two inches shorter.  But we put a lift in his shoes, and you really wouldn’t notice.  Without shoes on, he does have a slight limp.  But he still loves to dance, and he’s insanely active, and he’s just happy as a lark and..

.. we could not be luckier parents.

Here's where I am!

Joy personified!!! Now to get us vid of him dancing. (So lucky! Mine is/will be the I-don’t-dance guy; how will I ever get him married & out of the house if he won’t dance????)

Run like the wind, Lucky Foot! That’s his official Native American name.
