Let’s face it: I’m not a consistent blogger.
I USED to be. Dude, I used to write three or four mini-posts A DAY, back when.. well.. I was single/in a boring job/had no kids. Boy, those were the good ole days.
But then life took over and I feel lucky to eke out two posts a week. I feel AWFUL if I don’t do that. On a good week, I may get three posts in, and then I feel like THE BEST BLOGGER IN THE WORLD.. but it’s usually indicative of 1) a slow week at work or 2) a huge emotional imbalance. Neither one make for good writing/reading, in retrospect.
I’ve seen a far amount of backlash from bloggers who absolutely detest NaBloPoMo, which, you know? Totally their right. And since forcing myself to post once a day doesn’t always generate fabulous results.. or even mediocre posts.. I don’t feel the need to clog up feed readers across this great continent of ours with .. okay, so all I can think of that big ole plug of skin and hair and soap residue and the odd army man that you get when you unclog a bathtub drain. You’re welcome for the visual.
Anyway, so for the month of November, I’ve decided to utilize WordPress’s “Excerpt” function, which allows me to publish a very short, concise synopsis of the post.. or any random bullshit I choose to write.. to feed readers. That way, instead of clogging up feed readers with pages and pages of crap, it’s just a short blurb. If it interests you, click through! I love the attention! But if not.. IT’S NOVEMBER, SO I’LL BE PUNISHING MYSELF WITH ANOTHER POST TOMORROW, DON’T YOU WORRY.
I know, I know.. I hate partial feeds too. With a passion. But what I really hate about them is the feeling that I’ve been cut off, often mid-sentence, as if I went to a peep show and ran out of quarters. (I’ve heard, anyway.)(I plan ahead and NEVER run out of quarters.) So I’m trying to avoid that by writing personal excerpts and not just letting some random first hundred characters be pushed out.
And that, ladies and gentlemen? Is my explanation.. AND MY REQUIRED POST FOR THE DAY.

I didn’t know you were doing partial feed until the other day when I clicked to look at the pictures since the blurb on the feed made sense and didn’t get cut off. Everyone should do this! If they have to do partial feed, I mean.
