I know the unfortunate timing of this post, but let me assure you: there is no jest behind this.
I blogged yesterday about finding a happy medium when it came to introducing religion to my child, and the only concrete points I had were that I want my child to know right from wrong, and that you do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.
That link was shared by Pocklock through Google Reader, and I want you all to visit it and read that story. And, if you have a little to spare, donate for that cause.
I want my child to grow up in a world where the random kindness of strangers is powerful enough to change lives. If everyone who reads this donates even a dollar, and then passes on that link, perhaps this family can afford to stay with their child as she heals.
Yes, I’m a believer in karma. I’m an even more devout believer in the power to improve people’s lives.

Shit on a stick! Life sucks ass sometimes. That poor family. Makes me sick to my stomach and the next breath has me saying thanks for my healthy boy.
Christina’s last blog post..A big day
I’m so glad you posted this. I’m sending all my prayers and cancer’s ass kicking vibes to Emily. I kicked cancer’s ass twice, so mine are pretty damn strong if I do say so myself.
