So, here’s the deal.
I’m officially hooked on SundryBuzz and Milk and Cookies (both by the amazing Linda from All & Sundry), where she raises a topic and you find out about products that you couldn’t live without. (Or, in my case, that you’ve already loved for years and/or can’t afford.) I love hearing what drugstore buys people are addicted to, because let’s face it: I am not nearly consistent enough to “invest” in expensive department store counter shit.
Today, I’m running to Walgreens or something similar to pick up hair products and makeup so that I’m stocked for the duration of “newborn”. New things that I’m looking forward to trying:
- John Frieda Radiant Red products. I have a love/hate relationship with John Frieda. Love his FrizzEase, but the red products never really moved me. However, PeopleStyle has once again named his shampoos the best drugstore buy, so I’m going to make the attempt. Again.
- CoverGirl’s LashBlast. I’ve been addicted to Maybelline’s mascara for years (Great Lash Blackest Black followed by Define-a-Lash), but now that CoverGirl has also adapted the flexible silicon brush, I’m all about switching back to a gentler product.
- Bonnie Bell Lipsmackers in Marshmellow. I used to wear this in high school, and someone reminded me of it the other day. I swear, it was the best gloss ever.
So what do you swear by at the drugstore? Anything you want to add to my shopping list? Have you tried any new products that you can’t live without? Or do you know something I should avoid? Now’s your time to speak up!

Not so much a product as you’re describing here - BUT I have about 6 pair of the yoga & lounge pants that Walgreens carries 2 for $12. They are very stretchy. I Love them!!!
I have a few: Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara (I’ve never found one I like as well) Gold Bond Ultimate Healing lotion, Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner (especially their dandruff shampoo. I don’t have dandruff anymore and it has stuff in it that is great for bacne.)
K, so I have nothing to add to your list…just wanted to say “Thanks” for giving me yet ANOTHER blog to lurk on…Milk and Cookies made it to the daily list.
No, I’m happy to share! Linda makes me laugh oh-so-much, and she really does find stuff I wouldn’t have ever heard of.
