Yeah, Buddy!

I have a dog who is deaf. I’ve had her since 2000, and she’s been through A LOT with me. I can’t count how many residences we’ve been in, how many boyfriends, how many.. well, anyway.
Fall is her favorite season. While our other dog, Charlie, happily stays outside in the 104 degree summers, Mabel ADORES autumn. Freshly raked piles of leaves are her heaven. (I’m excited because she loves little boys to play with her in said leaves.)
I caught her out there the other day, just rolling around in the sunshine, thrilled to have a 68 degree afternoon to warm her belly. We should all be so easy to please.

She is my kind of girl. Er, dog. I wilt like an unwatered flower in the heat but I lurve me some Autumn. Brilliant colored leaves, apple cider, a cozy fire and a good book to snuggle in to– Bring it on!
