Words to Live By

An incident today at work reminded me of something good ole Barry Petty used to say to us:

“If you have to tell someone how good (or talented or smart or or honored or versed or wonderful) you are, you most likely aren’t.”

this is sooooo true… ha… i miss good ole Barry! so honest. kinda the Simon Cowell of community theater. I DON’T miss all the drama that gets stirred up over some silly chunks of acrylic handed out in mid-october.. good grief, people, it’s supposed to be FUN. :o)

I know. I never know the nominations are even out until people start complaining about them. And the youngins always ask, “What do you think about so and so?” And my response is always the same: We get together to have fun and celebrate. The awards themselves are just acryllic and are good for doorstops, coasters, and little else.
