Mushy. In My Own Way.

Two very distinct and varied reasons why I love my husband:

  • He bought me porn for my birthday.  Because, yes, I asked for some. (And, no, this was not the big gift.  But tell me it’s not cool to know that a man braved a porn shop for you!)
  • We have been having an ongoing disagreement about co-sleeping with baby Tony.  Mainly because I am not a fan of getting up in the night to feed.. cosleeping means I merely roll over and toss a boob his way.  Bryan wants Tony to sleep in his crib.  He says that he will retrieve the baby every time it’s time to feed.  I’ve had enough new puppies to know better than that crap, but he was serious about it.  I finally asked why he was so serious about it. “Because,” he said, getting suddenly sheepish.  “I want to be involved with the feeding.”  HOW DO YOU NOT LOVE THAT?!

Porn and breastfeeding.  Two reasons why I love Bryan Comer.

He knows that in the act of moving the baby, the baby will wake up…possibly for long periods of time…will that also be his “part of the feeding?” SLEEP WITH THE BABY!! Now tell me to shut the hell up and do it your way:):)

Actually, I think he does know that. And he LIKES it. It’s one of his favorite memories with The Boy.

But we’ll definitely try his way. If it sucks.. the baby will be sleeping (and feeding) in the bed.

OMG! You just gave me the biggest eyeopener yet.
When we got Bruno as a 6 wk old pup he slept in a hand me down pack and play in our room for weeks! Oh my hell, I have been saying no co-sleeping I will get up, his room is just across the hall….. Im a liar. If i couldnt do it with a dog 7 years ago who in the heck am I kidding…

ducks out to go sob at her own stupidity.

  4. Sarah Says:

Oh, no, don’t feel bad. Really, this level of awareness can only be acheived by YEARS of laziness. Truly.

  5. The J-BO Says:

Aren’t you worried about rolling over onto the baby in your sleep? And you drool. What if he chokes on your drool? Why don’t you just put a crib in the room?

  6. Sarah Says:

I sleep on a very spongy pillow. That should absorb said drool. (Which, honestly, only makes an appearance when I’m in a very deep sleep. That hasn’t happened in a long.. seven month or so.. time.) As for rolling over on the baby, I have to trust that I wouldn’t.

But Bryan did find a cage to prevent it, should it become an issue. :)

    A cage?!?!?! Just like Bilo….
