Recap

I am just dragging this morning.

Bryan and I tried to be grown-ups last night.. you know, I keep saying that, but maybe I mean teenagers.  We stayed out too late, which makes us exhausted at what we do today.. so maybe that’s stupid and immature.  Yes, that’s the stance I’m taking.

Anyway, last night was the gala opening of Merrimack Hall.  So beautiful.  The lights were amazing.  The lighting designer was hott.  And I got to see Wade again. (Pics at Flickr.)

It was great to hang out with old theatre friends, as well as make new ones.  I can’t wait for the amazing things that will transpire there.

We also visited The Boy’s school for his back-to-school bash this weekend.  It was actually quite a cool little shindig.  Tons of inflatable jumpie-thingies (which inspired a lot of, “No, get back on there and wear yourself out!” from Sarah), lots of free games, and free food.  I’m not necessarily a fan of the school (I feel it’s FAR too big), but that was a really cool thing for them to do.  The Boy had a blast.

And, as I’ve already filled you in on, Bryan bought me Crocs.  Which was odd.  But they’re SOOO cute!

Man, I am so freakin’ exhausted.  Stayed out too late last night.  Did I say that already?  It’s still true.

I feel safe to say that we’ve decided on a name.  We’ve been using it to talk to the baby for awhile, and it feels good.  James Anthony.  We’re calling the baby “Tony”.  Isn’t that cute?  Of course it is.  And if you don’t think it is, don’t name your baby that.

Tony is an avid dancer himself.  His encounters with Wade have inspired him, although he tends to fancy himself a riverdancer.  On my ribs.  All the time.  He really enjoys trying to serenade me with a paso doble as I’m trying to sleep.  Last night, however, we had a few moments while waiting for the show to start.  My entourage was chatting amongst themselves, the music was soothing, and I felt him shifting.  It was pretty cool to think that there’s this little someone inside of me.

After working an extra two hours on Friday, I’m trying to find a way to cut those same two hours out this week.  Perhaps this afternoon.  Sounds like a plan.

Jeff had an uncle Antonio. He’s all about Tony as a name. Very Italian of you. :-)

I know! It’s like a two-fer.. Anthony is the name of Bryan’s uncle that passed away a few years ago, and it’s italian!

James is my father and the late and great Jim Henson. That’s a two-fer too!

Tony! How sweet! (and don’t think I missed the theatre reference! I am a thespian geek too.) James Anthony is a fine name. I prefer the more classic names. That way he has more choices when he grows up. It is hard to sound professional if your name is Moonbeam Jones, attorney at law.

Oooh, Mal.. you may have beaten me at my own game. I had not considered the theatre reference! It’s a three-fer!!
